Elegant Woodland Wedding at Rudding Park
16 Jun 2013
Jennifer and Matthew were keen to create a natural yet sophisticated woodland theme for their June wedding at Rudding Park.
Roses and peonies in neutral shades with soft mixed greens created graceful floral displays for an atmosphere of easy elegance. Beautiful nude quicksand roses were used in all the table centre designs.
The bridal bouquet featured large headed white roses and fragrant peonies for a fabulously feminine effect with sweet peas and ranunculus adding a soft frothiness. The posy was tied with ivory sateen ribbon which was held in place with a line of pearl headed pins.
An interesting mix of foliage and twigs was used in the table decorations to add a touch of drama to the natural colour palette and echo the cosy woodland effect that had been created by the careful positioning of full size silver birch trees, supplied by Richard at Real Oasis.
The trees had been used to line the aisle at St Wilfred’s church in Harrogate for the marriage service before being taken to Rudding Park for the wedding breakfast and then positioned alongside the dance floor to add intimacy to the evening reception.
Woodland and meadow themes are very much on trend at the moment and this wedding demonstrates perfectly how thoughtful design and careful choice of flower type and colour can add a beautifully elegant twist.
“The flowers were stunning and created just the atmosphere that Jennifer and Matthew wanted. So many of the guests admired the display and we all had a great time. Thank-you so much for helping to make it such a special day.” Mother of the Groom
