Our wedding flowers at Swinton Park
11 Mar 2015
Swinton Park is a stunning castle hotel and stately home set in 200 acres of beautiful Yorkshire countryside. It is a very special place for a wedding and one of our favourite venues.
We are proud to be on the hotel’s recommended supplier list. The wedding team go out of their way to be helpful and are always a dream to work with, making sure everything is seamless and magical on the big day.
We enjoy working closely with the wedding team supplying flowers included in the hotel’s ‘Wedding for Two’ package.
The grand architectural features in this ancestral stately home are a delight to dress and provide an elegant backdrop for any theme.
Here, the simplicity of white flowers set against green foliage creates a wonderfully clean and sophisticated theme.
For this wedding at Swinton Park bright green was used to add a contemporary twist to the understated elegance of pure white.
Small headed seasonal flowers in white and ivory were combined with an abundance of mixed green foliage.
The bride’s ‘over the arm’ bouquet featured a lovely mix of greens and a selection of formal and meadowy flower varieties for an informal country garden look.
The theme was carried through to the buttonholes which featured a single white dendrobium orchid with dark green leaves and natural corn.
Swinton Park may be an historic country house but it can still lend itself to a contemporary wedding theme.
Here we used calla lilies, modern grasses and a striking dark purple colourway.
The reception was held in Samuel’s restaurant at Swinton Park.
Goldfish bowl globe designs added a modern centrepiece to the guest tables.
Classic with a Twist
For this wedding at Swinton Park bright green was used to add a contemporary twist to the understated elegance of white.
Swinton Park’s stunning interior and beautiful grounds always give us plenty of inspiration and offer wonderful possibilities for memorable wedding photos.
We love the rich and vibrant colours used for this wedding and the bride’s exotic choice of oriental stargazer lilies and graceful calla lilies, set against deep green and variegated foliage.
Hot pink roses, pink and white oriental lily heads and pink calla lilies were hand tied with delicate trails of asparagus fern to create this beautiful bridal bouquet.
We used mainly white and ivory lilies, roses and seasonal flowers with touches of hot pink for the bridesmaids to contrast with the richness of the bride’s bouquet.
The wedding ceremony took place in The Library at Swinton Park where we decorated the aisle with hot pink rose petals and hurricane vases.
We created this giant floral heart to hang behind the registrar’s table.
Guest tables were decorated with a lovely mix of pink and ivory lilies, roses and seasonal flowers arranged elegantly in tall glass martini vases.
The wedding was held in the height of summer and guests were able to make the most of Swinton’s lovely outdoor space.
Swinton Park is beautiful at any time of the year and in spring the grounds start bursting into life.
Here we used seasonal tulips, fragrant hyacinth and classic roses in shades of ivory, cream and contrasting dark purple, intertwined with stems of deep green leaves, rosemary and blue thistles.
Even in the midst of winter Swinton Park still looks stunning and the warm and welcoming atmosphere comes into its own.
For this wedding we added lots of seasonal sparkle for a magical midwinter theme.
