Spring Wedding at Swinton Park
26 Apr 2013
Spring flowers and a selection of rich foliage were used to create an elegant country garden theme for this April wedding at Swinton Park near Masham.
Seasonal tulips, fragrant hyacinth and classic roses in shades of ivory, cream and contrasting dark purple were intertwined with stems of deep green leaves, rosemary and blue thistles to give the look a contemporary twist.
Despite the grandeur of the venue the bride wanted the flowers to follow a natural theme to suit the relaxed atmosphere she was keen to achieve on her wedding day.
Swinton Park’s fabulous panelled room, where the wedding took place, is a favourite of ours and once dressed with these beautiful floral arrangements it felt intimate and informal.
The wedding breakfast itself was held in Samuel’s Restaurant where classic low glass bowls were filled with a mix of flowers to match the bouquets.
The bride wore two different dresses on her big day. We loved them both and the laid back elegance of the second design, which she changed into before taking to the floor for the couple’s first dance, suited the theme of the wedding reception perfectly.
