Christmas Wedding at Swinton Park

19 Mar 2017

Photography by Olivia Brabbs

Wintry foliage and opulent blooms of large-headed Avalanche roses and ranunculus were a perfect seasonal combination for Alex and Will’s December wedding at Swinton Park.

We dressed the library of this elegant Yorkshire country house venue for the ceremony, which was followed by a reception in Samuel’s restaurant.

The theme was beautifully understated with a lovely mix of silvery grey eucalyptus, silver Brunia, blue spruce, pine and mistletoe.

We made sure there was plenty of twinkling candelight to create a timeless romantic atmosphere throughout the venue.

For Will's buttonhole we combined a white 'Akito' rose with a single anemone flower, silver brunia and eucalyptus foliage.

A scattering of fresh rose petals and modern glass candle vases lined the aisle.

Lush hand-tied designs with a mix of silver candlesticks, glass candle vases and votives decorated the registrar’s table.

The tables in Samuels were dressed with Silver candelabra decorated simply with natural foliage, roses, ranunculus and anemones. The table centres were surrounded with candle votives.

For an extra seasonal romantic touch we created an enormous ball of mistletoe which hung from one of the chandeliers in the lower hall.

With thanks to Olivia Brabbs for the lovely photography.
