A Bouquet of 13 Roses at Allerton Castle
14 Feb 2013
A longstanding family wedding tradition provided the inspiration for an idyllic floral theme for Violet and Chris’s magical spring wedding at Allerton Castle.
The number 13 has special significance for Violet’s family, who have watched their brides walk down the aisle with a simple bouquet of 13 roses for generations.
Violet’s bouquet embraced the family tradition and updated it by adding seasonal flowers to the mix in fresh shades of white, ivory, antique pink and soft lime green with deeper touches of rich purple.
Flowers were such an important part of the occasion for Violet that she secretly named it her “flower day” and the whole venue was transformed with a fabulous mix of roses, peonies and early summer blooms interspersed with striking greenery and hundreds of romantic candles.
This created a stunning “Midsummer Night’s Dream” backdrop of natural beauty and enchantment.

“We really did have the most perfect, magical day and the way you made Allerton look was so much to do with that. Your work was amazing but equally your support, advice and presence throughout. It made all the difference. Thank-you! Violet & Chris xxxx”
