Blue and White Country Style Flowers for a Wedding

18 Feb 2014

Beautiful country style flowers in summery shades of white, ivory and cream with mixed blues and soft lime green created a relaxed meadow theme for Flippy and Andrew’s wedding at Priory Cottages near Wetherby.

Soft grasses and carefully selected small-headed seasonal flowers were  informally arranged for a ‘handpicked’ effect.

Vintage touches of lace and champagne coloured ribbon complemented the delicate blooms of Muscari, scented hyacinth and blue anemones. Hessian added a rustic feel.

The bride’s bouquet featured champagne coloured roses, white gypsophila and tulips with blue spring flowers and hints of lime green foliage, held together with a ribbon and lace handle studded with pearl headed pins.

The Registrar’s table, the pretty alcoves at the Priory and the tables in the marquee for the wedding breakfast were decorated with jam jars filled with pretty flowers and foliage interspersed with nightlight candles.

Flippy and Andrew collected lots of jam jars, bottles and ivory buckets for the flower arrangements so that they could give them away as gifts at the end of the evening.
