Floral Spectacular at Allerton Castle Wedding Event
3 Mar 2014
We pulled all the stops out to create a spectacular display of bridal flowers for the weekend’s Brides Up North wedding fair at Allerton Castle.
Making the most of the venue’s splendid architectural features, we put the grand staircase centre stage.
The bannisters were laden with ivy, eucalyptus and pinky purple waxflower, giving the effect of an enchanted land.
Hurricane vases and candles in moss lined the stairs, adding extra magic.
Roses featured strongly in our displays with dusky pink Amnesia roses, pale pink Sweet Avalanche, taupe coloured Quicksand and the bluey pink tones of Cool Water.
The mixed colour palette included lilac flower heads, blue anemones and peach spray roses with bright green viburnum pompoms adding a vibrant splash.
A classic tall ball display with the addition of hanging candlelit globes is a unique way to light up a table from above.
We gave our grand 1.2 metre tall candelabra arrangement of foliage, orchids and large headed Sweet Avalanche roses a contemporary twist with the addition of Calla lilies
The low bowl design included rolled aspidistra leaves, rosettes of sempervivum, roses and ranunculus.
We also created a beautiful bouquet which brought together dusky taupe Quicksand roses, sempervivum and peppercorn plants to create a classic design with a lot of textural interest.
It was wonderful to exhibit in this fabulous venue alongside other talented wedding suppliers and big thanks to Brides Up North for putting on such a fantastic event. Thanks also to DJB Photography for taking these wonderful photos of our flowers.
