Glorious Autumnal shades for a beautiful wedding

A crisp autumn day at the lovely Crathorne Hall created the perfect setting for the wedding of Sarah and Ben. They had chosen a rich autumnal theme and we used a fabulous mix of orange ‘Cherry Brandy’ roses, cream ‘Vendella’ roses, UK grown hops, scented freesia, two-tone orange tulips and rich orange ‘Mango’ calla lilies.

All flowers were arranged with a lovely mix of autumnal leaves, delicate twigs and a few loops of flexi-grass to add a contemporary touch to an otherwise classic theme. We filled a pretty basket with single hop heads for guests to throw as eco friendly confetti which worked brilliantly well.
We supplied a combination of high and low flower designs for the wedding breakfast room. Large gold fish bowls were generously filled with swirled tulips, calla lilies and grasses.
Tall balls of flowers and foliages were placed on top of slender cone vases to create real drama. The colour scheme worked beautifully with the dark wood panelling and dark burnt orange walls.
The colour theme continued onto the cake which was simply decorated with fresh ‘mango’ calla lilies, swirled to create a dramatic design.
Sarah and Ben had a truly wonderful day and it was a real pleasure for us to be part of it. As florists we love an autumnal colour scheme where we can create fabulous designs using items such as twigs, pinecones, hops and moss. It certainly gets our creative juices going!
