Seasonal Flowers for a Private Birthday Party

4 Nov 2013

A clever combination of colour and texture created a seasonal theme to dress the marquee for a private birthday party recently. The Birthday girl is a keen botanist so it was important to use a wide range of unusual yet seasonal plant and flower material.

Once again we were working with the hugely talented team at DINE whose professionalism and expertise in these types of events ensures everything runs like clockwork.

The lovely marquee was supplied by Paul at ‘Shades of India’ and created the perfect atmosphere for an intimate family celebration.

Vintage terracotta pots were placed down the centre of each banquet table, each filled with a loose rounded arrangement with plenty of colour and interest.

We used a mix of autumnal foliage combined with red spider orchids, burgundy cymbidium orchids, roses, berries, succulents, delicate twisted willow twigs and fragrant herbs.

Shades of deep pink, red, burgundy and brown contrasted beautifully with silvery grey eucalyptus leaves with berries.

The natural style of the flowers extended to two statement pedestal designs with a striking mix of flowers, berries, twigs and foliage arranged in stone urns.

Autumnal coloured nightlights added an atmospheric glimmer to each table and to the bar area.
