Winter White Avalanche Roses

We are one of the main florists at Swinton Park near Masham and it is one of our very favourite venues to work with. Our familiarity with the venue and the team meant it was no trouble for us to prepare for Florence and Alastair's winter wedding on a frosty day between Christmas and New Year - traditionally not usually the easiest time of year for a florist!

We used a beautiful mix of antique green and purple hydrangea, Avalanche roses, ranunculus, viburnum and purple lisianthus. The colour scheme worked beautifully against the bridesmaids' richly coloured outfits.

Florence had asked us to design and neat and long cascading bouquet using winter white flowers for a neutral and understated look.

The registrar's table was adorned with antique green hydrangea and Avalanche roses, a scheme that was repeated in other rooms where the reception was held.

The tumbling bouquet of blooms complemented Florence's streamlined sequinned gown which had been designed by one of our favourite Yorkshire wedding dress designers Anita Massarella.

Vibrant greens and soft whites created a timeless theme with a contemporary twist that was ideally suited to the classic setting of Swinton Park.

With thanks to Joel Skingle for the use of these wonderfully creative images which really capture the mood of the day.
